Top Resources for Product Managers in 2022 - Part 1 of 5
Where to look for inspiration, motivation and advice to level up your Product knowledge.
ABL - “Always be learning”. The tricky part about learning is wading through all the information out there. There’s SO much. However, once you find first resource that you fall in love it becomes much easier to find more. For me (and many others) Marty Cagan was that first entry point. Since then I’ve been inspired by others in the Product space. My goal with this post is to share a list of 5 resources all Product Managers should be paying attention too in 2022. Yes, some of them require paying $$$. This is an investment in your career, you’re worth it. Treat yo’self.

What I’ve learned from Shreyas:
People shape product not processes. I’ve learned more about how product makes an impact at the “Big Tech Companies” and use those ideas to influence teams. The focus shouldn’t be on frameworks and traditional processes - it’s about empowering people and recognizing the traits of successful product managers. Just because you don’t have the title “Product Manager” it doesn’t mean you’re not a PM. We have to find folks that are missing the title but have the “product sense” and then help them break into the Product space. One of the most important takeaways for me is a better understanding of how you learn from successes but more from failures. Failing is ok if you learn and iterate your way to success. The only way to truly fail is to not learn from your previous failures.
